The best things what to do in Samui - the best Samui tours

Most of us can not often travel to exotic countries. The holiday is usually very long-awaited and passes very quickly. To make the best of your holiday we recommend to include some of the most interesting Samui tours in your itinerary.

Tour to Ang Thong National Park

So, on the top of the “must-see” places list is Ang Thong National Park.

Ang Thong National Park is a group of islands protected by the government of Thailand. The park is situated 32 km to the north-west of Koh Samui. Go on the tour of Ang Thong and you will see:

  • Thale Nai - a salty lake. You can observe and admire the emerald surface of the lake from the viewpoint at Koh Mae Ko island.
  • Nice cosy bays and white sandy beaches hidden in the rock caves. You will see these beautiful places from board a ship as landing to most bays is impossible. During the tour we will make a stop in the sea (not at the island) to do kayaking and snorkeling.
  • Wua Ta Lap - a paradise island where we will land. The entrance to the island costs 300 THB for an adult and 100 THB for a child. The territory of the island is nicely organised: there are palms, beach gazebos, toilets and showers with fresh water. Here you can do kayaking, snorkeling and just relax on the beach. Those who are hungry can have a meal in a local restaurant. We will stay on the island for 1,5 - 2 hours and we recommend to spend some time on visiting a viewpoint. The roads leading there are steep and you will have to climb about 500 m to its top. You may remember this ascent forever. It will be quite difficult, especially for those who are not physically prepared. But be sure your efforts will be worth it - the viewpoint at Wua Ta Lap opens up a picturesque view over Ang Thong park.

  • Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan

    Nang Yuan

    Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan are one of the best places for snorkeling near Koh Samui. However, they are not very near. The trip by speedboat will take about one hour and a half (about 70 km away from Koh Samui).

    Koh Nang Yuan is a private island with an only hotel - Nang Yuan Diving Resort. The entrance to the island costs 100 THB for an adult and 50 THB for a child.

    Despite the fact that the island is a private territory and protected by the government, there are a lot of available entertainments and activities on the island.

    Every nook of the island is so picturesque that you will have a constant desire to use your photo camera. There is a nice beach equipped with necessary facilities: sun chairs and umbrellas, two restaurants and a beach bar, a viewpoint with a magnificent view over the whole island. From the viewpoint you can notice that Koh Nang Yuan is three small islands connected with each other by snow-white sand spits. The main activity that is worth doing here is, of course, snorkeling.

    Snorkeling at Nang Yuan

    Snorkeling masks and pipes are provided for free. All you have to do is bring an underwater camera - there is lots to shoot! You will see one of the most beautiful coral reefs of the Gulf of Siam and its inhabitants. Koh Tao is the best place for diving and snorkeling. In Mango Bay you will see bright yellow striped fish. The fish fil swim very close to you and if you stop for a moment, they will try to taste you (they won’t hurt you). Koh Tao is an inhabited island with good infrastructure, so you can stay there for a longer period of time.

    Sightseeing tour of Koh Samui

    Tourists can visit a lot of interesting places in Koh Samui. Different tour companies offer numerous sightseeing tour variants and itinerary combinations. When choosing a tour, you should pay careful attention to the transport - some people love tuk-tuk trips with the wind blowing their hair, others prefer the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus.

    Off Road tour

    The main sights of Koh Samui which are included in almost all the sightseeing tours, for example Safari Off Road 4х4 Tour:

  • Big Buddha;
  • Grandfather and Grandmother stones;
  • elephant riding, elephant and crocodile shows, you can also see a trained monkey gathering coconuts from a palm;
  • Wat Kunaram temple with an imperishable body of a monk;
  • Namuang-2 waterfall - the highest waterfall in Koh Samui;
  • a viewpoint with a picturesque view over the island of Samui.

  • You will also have a Thai lunch which usually consists of fried rice with vegetables, potatoes with chicken or pork, fresh vegetables and fruit.

    The peculiarity of this tour is that you are going to travel around the island by open off-road jeeps. The road to the waterfall and the highest viewpoint is steep and rough, so be ready for real adventures!

    Sky Hawk Cable Road

    Zipline

    Sky Hawk is one more opportunity to admire Koh Samui from the height. If you are looking for adrenaline, go to Sky Hawk Adventure Park in Maenam. In the middle of the jungles 33 platforms connected with cables are set on tops of the trees. You can move from platform to platform using special equipment. The assistance of experienced instructors and modern equipment guarantee complete safety of the guests, so both adults and children (from 5 y.o) are welcome. You will be flying among the trees and enjoying the beauty of a tropical forest from a bird’s-eye view. Cable descents and rope bridges make the experience more exciting. Don’t forget to bring your GoPro camera to capture the amazing moments. The camera is easily attached to a helmet that you will wear during your flight.

    Koh Samui has more interesting places: Lamai viewpoint, Paradise Park, oceanarium and many beaches, each of which is beautiful in its own way and is worth your visit. If you do not want to be limited in time, create your own itinerary and book a car with a driver for half a day or a whole day and enjoy your own tour.

    My friends and I wanted to come, but now they canceled the trip because of the virus. We think that soon everyone will be healthy and we will come to you on vacation?
