Stunning views and landscapes of the national park
If you are tired of just lying on the beach and you want to see something stunningly beautiful, then an excursion to Ang Thong National Park is a perfect choice. The views of this marine reserve are breathtaking.
Translated from Thai, Ang Thong means “golden basin”. The beautiful nature of the national park is almost untouched and uninhabited by humans. These islands near Koh Samui are an ideal place for snorkeling and exploring the underwater world. The program also includes a visit to the emerald bay, salt lake Talay Nai, the bay of the Wua Ta Lap island, a hike to the viewing platform of the Mae and Wua Ta Lap islands, kayaking, lunch, and many more interesting things.
Ang Thong Marine Park was opened in 1980. Now it has an area of 102 square kilometers and 42 perfect islands. It is interesting that the islands are mostly limestone and therefore they easily change their shape. Because of this feature, many amazing caves have formed there. We will visit some of them on our tour. Almost the entire surface of the islands is untouched jungles.
The observation platform with the most beautiful view is located on the Wua Ta Lap island. Seekers of exotic sights from all over the world come here to admire local landscapes.
Ko Mae Island is famous for its unique lake, which was formed naturally by breaking limestone rocks surrounded by the mountains. It connects with the Gulf of Siam and therefore remains salty.
Sea gypsies live on the Paluay island. You can see them and learn about their lifestyle during the tour.
